UniportBilbao comes back again to the face-to-face participation in the main logistics and trade event in South America

UniportBilbao participates as an exhibitor at Intermodal Southamerica, the main logistics forum and meeting point for forwarders, logistics operators, shipping companies, and cargo agents from South America, which is held from March 15 to 17 in Sao Paulo. After the impossibility of holding the last two editions in person due to the pandemic, Uniport returns to this important event to offer the logistics services of the Bilbao port-logistics community to South American cargo operators that trade with Atlantic Europe. Together with Uniport, representatives of four associated companies will be present: Asthon Cargo Bilbao, Biladu, Debusman Pastrana and Nervión Internacional, "since logistics is a sector that should never stop because it is essential".

"The port of Bilbao and its port logistics community offer personalized logistics responses for any type of merchandise, whatever its nature, size, shape or weight, even in difficult circumstances", they comment from Uniport. "For the success of an international commercial action -they add- we must have good logistics collaborators and in Bilbao we provide true specialists".

Traffic between Bilbao and Brazil exceeded one million tons. It is the seventh foreign market, with 31% of this traffic being exports and 61% imports. The main exported goods are chemical products, petroleum products, iron and steel, and machinery and tools. Regarding imports, soybeans, crude oil, steel products and minerals stand out, an example of the trade with South America.

Uniport represents the main multimodal logistics cluster in the Basque Country, with 70% of its associated companies having an international presence.
