The President of Uniport at the table of Friends of Europe

Brussels | May 18th
F. Jaber Bringas has participated as a guest in the simulation exercise that the Friends of Europe Table has held in Brussels on May 18th under the title "Europe in 2030: boosting public-private cooperation in hybrid crises", with the presence of Mr. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, former Secretary General of NATO and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

According to information provided by the Friends of Europe Bureau, "effective policies are the result of fully informed responses to the right hypothetical questions. In a world characterised by complex challenges that cross and blur borders, it has never been more vital to ensure that these hypothetical questions are asked of the right people, thus ensuring that all sectors of government and society are prepared to address the threats to our security.

"The future challenge of emerging and disruptive technologies and their impact on our shared security requires us to look to the future and ask the right questions to ensure we are prepared for it. By bringing key stakeholders together to work through the implications of these future challenges and our responses to them in crisis situations, we can clarify roles and responsibilities and identify what laws, policies, cooperation mechanisms and plans we will need to implement to ensure the health and safety of our societies."

The results and recommendations for improving public-private cooperation will be made public by the organisation.
