The SDG 14 Maritime Rescue Awards, for clean seas, celebrate their 6th edition this year and aim to publicize initiatives that contribute to the conservation of the marine environment. But in this edition we also want to incorporate sustainability, valuing all those contributions aimed not only at protecting the sea and marine species, but also those initiatives that incorporate the concepts of blue economy aimed at preventing / reducing the generation of waste to prevent it from being reach the sea There simply cannot be green without blue.
They are aimed at those people, associations, organizations or companies that with their work have contributed to the conservation of the marine environment and therefore to the achievement of SDG14, including the development of Blue Economy projects. Three categories have been established:
1. Maritime Rescue Award for the greatest contribution to SDG 14.
2. Maritime Rescue Award for the best marine conservation awareness initiative, promoting SDG 14.
3. Internal Maritime Rescue Award for the best initiative or contribution to SDG 14.
The initiatives must have been carried out at least partially between 2021 and 2022.
