Bilbao | 25 de Octubre 2023

The 32nd edition of La Noche de la Empresa Vasca, organised by the Fundación Empresa Vasca y Sociedad/Gizarte eta Euskal Enpresa Fundazioa, distinguished the work of Lointek with the Made in Euskadi award, for the international impact of its business project.

Lointek, a first-generation family business with strong roots in the Basque Country, entered the industrial sphere in 1996 thanks to Serafín Loroño as a subcontractor in the capital goods sector for large local companies. In its twenty-seven years of history, the Biscayan company has been able to adapt, design, manufacture and deliver hundreds of equipment, industrial components and turnkey installations all over the world, which has positioned Lointek as a world leader in engineering, design and manufacture of steam generation systems for solar thermal power plants, and also as a reference in the design and manufacture of capital goods for the oil and energy sectors, areas in which it competes with international leaders.

From its headquarters in Urdúliz, with a logistical vision, Lointek Heavy Industries was created, strategically located in the port of Bilbao, from where it offers equipment of more than 1,000 tonnes to the five continents.

At the gala, held at the Guggenheim Museum, Leire Alberdi Olavegoya, CEO of Grupo Alberdi was awarded as 'Best Basque Entrepreneur 2022', as well as the company VIVEbiotech in 'Business Innovation'.
