Bilbao receives the MSC Roberta, a container ship with a capacity of 4,339 TEU and 294 metres LOA.

Santurtzi | May 17th
This Wednesday 17th May Bilbao welcomed the vessel "MSC Roberta", one of the largest container ships to call at the port since 2017.

The ocean-going vessel "MSC Roberta" was served by the container terminal CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal in an operation that took place on Tuesday and Wednesday to complete the loading of more than 700 TEUs for export and which also included the unloading of hundreds of empty containers with which MSC has expanded the fleet of 40' equipment available to service the Basque business fabric.

This is the second time that the shipping line has included an extraordinary call at Bilbao in the month of May with the same objective: to increase the capacity of the two weekly services that MSC has in Bilbao to meet the export demand of customers in the port's area of influence.

The "MSC Roberta", with a capacity of 4,339 TEUs (equivalent to about 2,170 trailers), is 294 metres long (length) and 13 metres wide (width). The ship completed operations on schedule.
